Racking, Filtering and Bottling


Introduction to Artisan Cider Making - Racking, Filtering, Bottling and Storage -  including refreshments and buffet style lunch.

This is a one day workshop designed to introduce the beginner to the final processes and procedures of cider artisan making.

In this workshop you will learn:-

· An introduction to the History, heritage and traditions of cider making

· An overview of the varieties of apples used for making cider

· Review of equipment we use and what to look for when buying your own equipment

· An introduction to Racking and Filtering.

· An introduction to Bottling and Storage

· An introduction to Process Control Part 2

· Useful references and literature

Refreshments will be available throughout the day, as well as a buffet style lunch. All ingredients, equipment and technical information will be provided on the day.
